News Update, 22 May 2010

May 2010, Updated 22/5/2010

Trustees David Tee and Nigel Roberts have just returned from a profoundly moving visit to Vetka, having spent the week meeting some remarkable children, families and carers, and getting to grips with the scale of the problems at the Childrens Correction Centre there. Great strides were taken in terms of a joint commitment with the District Executive Committee on future collaborative working to deliver the facilities that are desperately needed. You can now read the Further Proposal that was written during the visit, as well as the first part of Nigel’s story about some of the wonderful children he and David met. Also now posted is the Russian translation of the earlier proposal dated 17th March 2010. WOVA and the District Executive Committee have agreed that from now on, both organisations will adopt the same communications strategy, which means that all relevant documents will be posted on both websites, and in both languages
